Callene Rapp hails from the Flint Hills of Kansas, by way of Missouri. Her day job consists of cleaning up after animals as a zookeeper, and her other day job consists of cleaning up after animals on the farm she owns with her husband. As you can imagine her fiction writing turns to fantasy elements such as handsome princes, magic and sorcery, and animals that clean up after themselves.
Still very much a fledgling fiction writer, she is currently working her way through Kristen Lamb’s Warrior Writer Boot Camp. Her non-fiction (you guessed it-about animals!) has been published in several national magazines.
When she doesn’t have a rake, shovel or poop scoop in her hand, she’s working on that one million words of sh** you have to produce before you know what the heck you are doing as a writer. Too bad those don’t compost as well as the other stuff.
You can catch up with her on Twitter @callenerapp, Facebook as Callene McCune Rapp, and her blog, Free Rein.
